Hoosier Racing Tire
Hoosier Racing Tire began in 1957 when Bob and Joyce Newton started producing race tires in an Indiana barn. They innovated purpose-built tires in 1962 and expanded to a dedicated factory in 1978. In 1988, they entered NASCAR, capturing nine victories. In 1994, Hoosier returned to NASCAR and captured an additional 11 pole positions and four wins. In 2011, a partnership was forged between Hoosier and Continental to produce and market the Official Spec Tire of the Rolex Sports Car Series. On October 4, 2016, Hoosier Racing Tire was purchased by Continental. Today, Hoosier is the world's largest race tire manufacturer, boasting advanced facilities and technologies.
