Spring Mill State Park

Spring Mill State Park boasts many natural features for visitors to enjoy, such as caves, cave springs, waterways, hiking trails, and campgrounds. Visitors can also step into life in the 1800s by visiting the park’s Pioneer Village or learn about astronaut Virgil I. ‘Gus’ Grissom at the Grissom Memorial museum.

Williams Covered Bridge

Spanning 402 feet over the White River, this covered bridge, built in 1884, is the longest double-span bridge of its kind in Indiana, earning it a spot on the National Register of Historic Places. 

Mitchell Opera House

Originally built in 1906 and restored in 2015, the historic Mitchell Opera House enjoys a rich tradition of community events, film screenings and live music entertainment. Recalling the days when the Monon Line connected with the B&O Railroad, the Opera House now serves as a permanent hub for the arts in Southern Indiana.
