Since the age of about eight years old, I had the bright idea that I wanted to become a paleontologist and never let go of it. You know; someone who digs up cool dinosaur bones out west somewhere and then cleans them up to show everyone. Joining the Air Force was my first true step in that direction, giving me the priceless educational benefit of the GI Bill (college assistance) and a head start on life. After my enlistment I struggled to find a job. Nothing seemed to fit until the next stage of life dropped me off at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis’s doorstep. There is never a day that I do not leave the museum with anything shy of amazing experiences, solid training and new memories with the visitors. I feel that I am a part of something greater than myself, just like how I felt when I wore the uniform.
